Silver Chain, a non-profit Western Australian community health care organisation, has adopted Aastra's Solidus eCare contact center solution, a mobility-enabled virtual contact centre. This enables Silver Chain field staff and customer centre to behave 'as one', and helps ensure that both medical professionals and clients always get through to the most appropriate provider - wherever they are located and whichever communications medium they prefer to use.
Silver Chain employs more than 2400 staff in city, country and remote Western Australia. Services include general nursing, palliative care, specialized procedures such as hospital in the home programs, IV therapy, wound care, personal care, home help and residential care. These services are provided 24 hours 7 days a week.
The selected Solidus eCare contact center solution operates on Ericsson's successful MD110 Convergence Communications System.
Teresa Pang, Customer Centre Manager for Silver Chain said: "This means it will not only be able to provide full IP contact center capabilities, but also provides remote or roaming agents with full PBX feature transparency through Mobile Extension."
